Nicola grew up in rural BC on a cherry orchard and feels it impacted largely on her life as an Actress.
A graduate of UBC’s Dept of Theatre, she began her professional work with the Vancouver Playhouse Theatre under the Artistic Directorship of Christopher Newton and the rich world of Directors and Artists that he brought to her learning life Her working life took her across Canada to work at most of the major Theatres from the age of 25 until the present age of 60. Known for her comedy, she holds certain dramatic roles as proud accomplishments . Amongst them, ; Angie in Top Girls (CITADEL THEATRE), Cecily in Travesties (National Arts Centre) Shirley Valentine (3 Canadian Tours) Nana in For The Pleasure of Seeing Her Again (Centaur Theatre and Arena Stage Washington DC) Epiphania in The Millionairess
A life rich with work, long on artistic friends and FULL of freedom. Film and Tv have also featured but Theatre of the Stage remains her hearts content Nicola presently lives in North Vancouver and is turning to Writing to spend more time with herself after 35 years spent with audiences 6 nights a week and twice on Saturdays.
